Abstract

The present invention provides a method and device for reconstructing scan chain based on bidirectional optimization selection in physical design. The method for reconstructing scan chain structure includes: first, respectively establishing a first preference list of plural scan elements for each of the plural scan chains; then, respectively establishing a second preference list of the plural scan chains for each of the plural scan elements; and performing a bidirectional selection between the plural scan chains and the plural scan elements based on the corresponding first and second preference list respectively, so that the plural scan elements are re-allotted to the plural scan chains. Overall optimization of the global scan chains is carried out by applying the method and device for reconstructing scan chain structure in the present invention, so as to greatly reduce global layout length and improve layout efficiency.
