Abstract

An electronic connector is used for connecting a memory module with two semicircle openings at each longitudinal end. The connector has an insulative housing, an ejector structure and a retainer structure at each longitudinal end of the housing. The housing includes longitudinal slot for receiving the memory module. The retainer structure has cavity at the second end of the housing and a metal spring received in the cavity. The slot communicates with the cavity, the metal spring has a pair of engaging portions, and each engaging portion laterally extends between the cavity and the slot. As the memory module plugs into the slot, the engaging portion moves laterally, such that friction between the memory module and the connector is minished.
