Abstract

The present invention provides a distance measurement method and device for target object. The measurement device comprises: a measurement marking portion located on a target object, wherein the measurement marking portion has a predetermined surface area or length/width/height so as to define a first measurement edge and a second measurement edge; an image capturing device, including a lens and an operation display interface, wherein the operation display interface is capable of displaying a target image captured by the image capturing device; a measurement marking portion selecting unit, used for selecting and designating the positions of the first measurement edge and the second measurement edge of the measurement marking portion of the target image via the operation display interface of the image capturing device; and a calculation processing unit, used for calculating a distance of the target. Therefore, the distance measurement device for target object of the present invention can provide better distance measurement precision, more convenient operation and higher measurement efficiency.
