Abstract
A rolling guide device in which the amount of displacement of a ball (3) in rolling grooves (10, 31) is small whichever of a vertical load and a horizontal load acts on the ball (3) and in which, when a vertical load acts on the ball (3), occurrence of a differential slip of the ball (3) can be suppressed. The rolling guide device is composed of first loaded regions (10a, 31a) facing the direction normal to the surfaces where the rolling grooves (10, 31) are formed and formed in an circular arc shape having a curvature radius slightly greater than that of the spherical surface of the ball, and of a pair of second loaded regions (10b, 10c, 31b, 31c) arranged so as to be contiguous to opposite sides of each of the first load regions (10a, 31a), formed in a circular arc shape having a curvature radius slightly greater than that of the spherical surface of the ball, and arranged so as to inline relative to the direction normal to the surfaces where the rolling grooves (10, 31) are formed. In an initial state, the ball (3) makes contact only with the first load regions (10a, 31a) and gaps are formed between the ball (3) and the second load regions (10b, 10c, 31b, 31c).
