Abstract
This invention provides a pressure-reducing device for engine, which includes a driving wheel, a valve-activating cam axially connected with the driving wheel, a centrifugal block pivoted on the driving wheel, and a pressure-reducing cam. The centrifugal block includes a driving teeth part. The pressure-reducing cam includes a driven teeth part and a cam part. The driven teeth part is equipped on the top shaft surface of the driving wheel and engages with the driving teeth part. The cam part has a non-circular cross-section and is installed inside the pressure-reducing cam hole. When the driving teeth part turns to a first position, the cam part of the pressure-reducing cam will radially extend out of the outer circumference of the valve-activating cam, and when the driving teeth part turns to a second position, the cam part of the pressure-reducing cam will not radially extend out of the outer circumference of the valve-activating cam. In this way, using gear transmission manner to drive the pressure-reducing cam can reduce the load of start motor.
