Abstract

A system for installing operating system to remote data server from diskless computer and method of the same use initialization firmware and network storage driver to individually establish disk connection with logic unit space, so that the installation program of operating system can identify an installable disk device, wherein the initialization firmware is responsible to obtain the network parameters and the storage driver is responsible to provide capability of network disk operation to the installation program. In the present invention a diskless computer does not need to install a physical hard disk to generate image of operating system which has to be sent to logic unit space, which is easily causing operating mistake due to user not familiar with the installation flow. The present invention can avoid the complex work of making image file and reduce opportunity of delinquency during system setup.
