Abstract

This invention provides a battery bracket which increases the places on abicyle where a battery bracket can be mounted so as to facilitate the placement and removal of a battery. When a battery 17a is mounted on a battery bracket 180, the battery 17a is placed in from a direction A slanted with respect to a longitudinal (length wise) direction to enage a groove 193 of the battery with a protrusion 192. The battery 17a is pivoted in the direction of arrow C with respect to the axis of the protrusion while maintining the engagement of the groove 193 and the protrusion 192. So as to push the battery 17a into the bracket 180, and fix battery 17a at the mounted position. To remove the battery 17a from the bracket, a hook or latch is first released, and the battery 17a is pivoted in the direction of arrow D with respect to the axis of the protrusion from the final mounted position (as indicated with dotted lines). The battery 17a can be removed from the bracket in the direction of arrow B when the battery 17a is tilted to an appropriate angle.
