Based on the premise of the connector constitution that the connector for the fluorescent tube comprises a pair of facing contacts, the terminal member, a seat 40, the housing 4, and the actuator 5; the connector constitution further satisfies following requirements (a) to (c). (a) The pair of facing contacts of the terminal member extend in an axial direction of the fluorescent tube. (b) The actuator is supported on the housing movably to an upper position or a lower position. (c) The pair of facing contacts of the terminal member can be made to come close mutually by moving the actuator to the lower position.
