Abstract

This invention discloses a solid state electrolytic capacitor with over-current and over-heat protection functions. The capacitor main body section comprises an etched electro-conductive metal foil as its anode film, in which the anode film surface has undergone anode oxidization treatment to form an oxidized dielectric surface layer and a wire is led out from the anode film as the anode; and a metal foil as its cathode film, in which a wire is led out from the cathode film as the cathode. The anode film and the cathode film are wound into a cylindrical shape and soaked in a solution of polymer temperature positive coefficient (PPTC) material for thermal polymerization so that an electrolyte layer is formed between the anode film and the cathode film to render the capacitor with over-current and over-heat protection functions.
