Abstract

An optical communication system comprises a laser light source, a birefringent apparatus and a receiver. The laser light source provides an incident light which will pass through the birefringent apparatus and will be received by the receiver. The receiver comprises a near end and a far end, wherein the near end is an angled endface for refracting the reflected light from the near end mostly. The reflected light from the far end and partially from the near end will be dispersed after passing through the birefringent apparatus in order to substantially suppress the disturbance of reflected light which is reflected back into the laser light source.
