Abstract

A resilient clamp for securing a cable with a shield in a plug, which has a front nut and a rear nut with engagement faces between which bent portions on the resilient clamp and a rim area of the shield of the cable may be clamped, is provided with a slot and with slits along its surface. Hereby, the resilient clamp may be manufactured with a few, simple working operations, comprising punching of a sheet member and subsequent bending. In an embodiment, the resilient clamp is made of the same material as the shield, which ensures that passive intermodulation is eliminated. In addition, expensive surface finishing of the resilient clamp is avoided.
