Abstract

An object of the present invention is to dis-play a text in an environment without the same font as in an environment where the text has been created so that the text has the same layout and appearance of characters without increasing data amount. According to the present invention, font metric information is generated using a font metric information generating means (20) at a text creation side. Next, the font metric information is sent to a text display side via an information communicating means (30), and a current font at the text display side is transformed using a character transforming means (40) at the text display side in accordance with the font metric information, thereby drawing a character by a character displaying means (42) on a display screen thereof at a predeter-mined position.
