Abstract

This invention is to provide a method of increasing the absorption of metal catalyst particles in carbon tube. The method comprises the following steps: purifying the carbon tube by annealing the amorphous carbon-containing particles and removing residual metal catalysts by microwave digestion acid treatment; adding the purified carbon tube into an ethylene glycol solution which contains chloroplatinic acid; desorbing the hydrogen and chlorine in the chloroplatinic acid by thermal temperature programmed desorption; and reducing the metal catalyst particles so as to make them absorbed in the carbon tube. By the use of thermal temperature programmed desorption, this invention may largely increase the deposit and absorption of the metal catalyst particles in the carbon tube; in addition, these particles are also uniformly dispersed in the gap and internal area of the carbon tube and on the surface thereof.
