Abstract
The present invention provides the applications of waste-energy recovery by motive power system and its energy control method for internal combustion engines particularly the usage on vehicles. It consists of an air compressor driven by a internal combustion engine, a storage unit to store up the compressed air from the air compressor, a converging unit to blend both flows of the compressed air of the gas storage unit and the waste gas of the internal combustion engine, and an pneumatic motor to generate power by using the optimal mixing output energy of the converging unit. Collocating the vehicle optimal running conditions of an internal combustion engine with a driven air compressor, the compressed air is sent to a storage unit to store up and stabilize its pressure. Now the compressed air of the storage unit and the waste gas of the internal combustion engine flow into a converging unit for blending both of it. Using the pipe diameter control of the converging unit, collecting flow of the compressed air and the waste gas is smoothly output to a pneumatic motor and is under optimal control of the mixing energy at the same time to get the real effect of environment protection and energy saving. Also the output torque and horsepower of the pneumatic motor are increased by way of the converge unit to regulate the demand amount for the pneumatic motor.
