Abstract

The present invention relates to a system utilizing a frame buffer to reduce noises caused by mode switch of a display device. The system comprises a signal processor, a frame buffer, a display panel, and a micro-controller. The signal processor is to receive external signals in a certain signal format. When the external signal changes its signal format, the signal processor informs the micro-controller, and processes the received signal according to the new signal format. The micro-controller controls the signal processor to freeze the picture stored in the frame buffer, and therefore the display panel displays the frozen picture. As a result, the method and system proposed by the invention can reduce noises caused by mode switch of a display device so as to cause the imaged to be played more smoothly and make an improvement in display quality.
