Abstract

A wind turbine electric power generating device for a vehicle comprises a housing installed on the outer surface of the vehicle. The generator of the device is mainly formed with rotational wheels and fixed plates. There are magnets and wire coils arranged on the rotational wheels and the fixed plates, respectively. The wind generated by the movement of the vehicle rotates the wind turbine and then drives the rotational wheels to rotate. When the rotational wheels rotate, the magnets and the coils move relatively each other. This will change the magnetic flux of the coils and produce electricity. Because the generator features a bigger diameter and thin shape, the device can have a higher efficiency of power generating and lower wind drag.
