Abstract

The present invention relates to a liquid crystal display utilizing redundancy data lines as repair lines and a method of repairing a defect in the same. The liquid crystal display comprises a data driver which includes a plurality of data channels. The data channels are electrically connected to a plurality of corresponding data lines. The method of repairing a defective data line utilizes a data channel and a corresponding data line as a repair line to transmit data and transmits data of a defect data line to the data channel and the corresponding data line.
