Abstract
This invention provides a ring-opening polymerization polymer of cycloolefins, characterized by containing at least two kinds of structural units selected from: a structural unit (1) represented by the following formula (1), a structural unit (2) represented by the following formula (2), and a structural unit (3) represented by the following formula (3). The ring-opening polymerization polymer of cycloolefins can be readily produced and are excellent in transparency, heat resistance, solubility in organic solvents, strength, and processability. The refractive-index anisotropy, wavelength dispersion, and glass transition temperature can be readily controlled by adequately regulating the proportions of the units.
