Abstract
After the image data taken by shotting is temporarily stored in the image buffer, the image data is recorded in the recording medium so as to enable the sucessive shotting in shorter time interval. The action frequency of the CPU etc. for controlling the digital camera is set at a first action frequency during the use of the image buffer, and at a second action frequency during the unuse of the image buffer. A plurality of image can be sucessively shotted without interruption, by using image buffer, even in the case capacity above necessity is not ensured in the image buffer. At the same time, the power consumption can be reduced by the switching of the speed of the other action to low speed during the operation at the timing of the end of the use of the image buffer, in which the other action is operated in parallel to the use of the image buffer and kept on operating even after the end of the use of the image buffer.
