Abstract

A device to calibrate a humidity sensor (18) includes a compressor (14) for the generation of a carrier-gas with already known mixing-flow (Qv); a mixing-chamber (2), which is used for the mixing of the steam and connected to the compressor (14), and the mixing-chamber (2) is through a steam-transmissive isolation-wall (4) communicated with a water reservoir (6) which can be heated with a heating device, and the mixing-chamber (2) is provided with an output-pipe (16) for the mixture generated in the mixing-chamber (2) and composed of the carrier-gas and the steam, the humidity-sensor (18) is connected to the output-pipe (16); and a control device (22), which controls the heating device (20) and adjusts the temperature (Tw) of the water reservoir (6) to a pre-settable value.
