Abstract
This invention provides a glass manufacturing apparatus and a glass production method where, even in the case the liquid level of fused glass is changed, the runoff rate of the fused glass is fixedly retained, thus the size of a glass molding can be uniformly retained, and also, in the case the kind of the glass molding is changed, or, even in the case a feeder is deteriorated, the glass molding with a prescribed size can be obtained even without performing a complicated operation. A pressure controller 22 calculates a pressure difference (Pa) between an inlet port and an outlet port in a feeder 14 by a measured liquid level, the density of fused glass A and the cross-sectional area of a fused glass tank 121; wherein the runoff rate of the fused glass A for making the size of the glass molding into the prescribed one is Qa, the pressure difference between the inlet port and the outlet port in the feeder 14 is defined as Pb.
