Abstract

The present invention relates to a forming method of hollow fastening member. Firstly a proper length of wire material is tailored and punched to a T-shaped blank and the blank is pushed into a die having four convex points by a punching device so the blank is configured with four slots at the periphery and an inner hole is punched and formed as well. Then the punching device with a diameter bigger than the inner hole is used to punch so that the outer diameter of the blank is enlarged and the slots are split open. Next the blank is pushed into a die having a diameter smaller than the slots of the blank by the punching device so the enlarged slots are contracted and an unloading hole is formed at the bottom end of the blank. The top end of the blank is then punched by the punching device so a flat head section is formed and stepped holes with different diameters are formed in the inner hole. Finally the residual material left on the unloading hole is punched off so a hollow fastening unit is formed.
