Abstract

A gate driver circuit for eliminating power-off residual images of a display apparatus is provided. This gate driver circuit is coupled to an external capacitor, the external capacitor being adapted for detecting a power supply for the gate driver on the display apparatus. The gate driver circuit includes a pull-up resistor; a logic unit and a plurality of channel circuits. First, the logic unit receives an external deficient elimination control signal (XAO) and a power on reset signal (PORB), and outputs an internal deficient elimination control signal (XAO_INTERNAL) to the channel circuits. When power off, the gate driver circuit provides a logic low internal deficient elimination control signal, and then outputs high outputs to the display apparatus for eliminating the power-off residual images.
