Abstract

A global position system (GPS) receiving apparatus comprises a signal receiving apparatus and a wireless transmission interface. The signal receiving apparatus is for receiving and outputting a GPS data signal. The wireless transmission interface coupled to the signal receiving apparatus is for transmitting the GPS data signal to a wireless communication apparatus. The wireless transmission interface is set in a power-saving mode before the signal receiving apparatus outputs the GPS data signal, and the signal receiving unit controls the wireless transmission interface to be in a continuous power mode as transmitting the GPS data signal to the wireless transmission interface.
