Abstract

The present invention relates to a pixel structure of a thin film transistor liquid crystal display and the method of manufacturing the same. Initially, a buffer layer is installed on a substrate. After the pixel drive unit is made and during the process of making a protective layer having contact holes, the pixel display area is etched during the same process until the buffer layer is over etched. Therefore, the amorphous silicon particles remained in the pixel display area can be removed effectively to prevent the amorphous silicon particles from forming weak capacitive coupling effects with the pixel electrodes in the pixel display area in the subsequent procedure. As a result, the production yields of the thin film transistor liquid crystal display can be improved.
