Abstract

To provide an inexpensive washing machine capable of preventing vibration and abnormal sound caused by the imbalance of the clothes weight. A vibration detecting part 18 is structured so that a secondary coil 22 is connected to a control means 11 via a first output detection circuit part 26 and that the secondary coil 22 between the first output detection circuit part 26 and the control means is connected to the control means 11 via a second output detection circuit part 27 by branching a part of the connected secondary coil. Accordingly, vibration and the displacement in the vertical direction of a receiving cylinder 3 in which a rotary drum 1 is enclosed can be precisely detected by one secondary coil 22 only, and the vibration and abnormal sound caused by the imbalance of the clothes weight, such as the abnormal vibration generated in the dewatering process, can be prevented. Even in the case of the displacement caused by the less downward sinking of the rotary drum, the quantity of the loaded laundry can be detected based on the output voltage of the second output detection circuit part.
