Abstract

The present invention provides a microcapsule of a copolymer produced from polyvinyl alcohol and vinylmonomer (polyvinyl alcohol copolymer) characterized by containing the medicament. In the case of the hydrophilic medicament, the microcapsule can be prepared by drying the liquid made from mixing the medicament, surface active agent and polyvinyl alcohol copolymer with the spray-drying technique or liquid drying. In the case of the hydrophobic medicament, the microcapsule can be prepared efficiently from the medicament and surface active agent to make a W/O type emulsion firstly, and adding water for phase inversion to an O/W type emulsion, then drying the emulsion with spray-drying or liquid drying technique.
