Abstract

A system (1400), apparatus (1402, 1403) and method (1200-1300) are provided for improving the encapsulation and de-encapsulation of sections from Multi Protocol Encapsulation (MPE) (151) and Multi Protocol Encapsulation-Forward Error Correction (MPE-FEC) (152) Sections in a DVB-H transport stream of at least one packet (301.i). The packets have a header (301.1.1) and a payload (301.i.2) such that section headers 151.1 are not split over two consecutive TS packets (301.i) and only adaptation field 301.i.1.7 is used for stuffing 301.N.3 to fill up the TS packet payload. A maximum of one section starts in each TS packet (301.i). A resulting DVB-H transport stream including a plurality of sections (151) according to the present invention has a lower section header (151.1) loss probability.
