The present invention provides a method to increase the correct decoding of digital signal, which employs a transmitter configured with a convolution encoder, a puncturing table, and a tuner to sequentially edit a data stream into a convolution code, a rate compatible puncturing convolution (RCPC) code, and a radio frequency (RF) signal. After the RF signal is received by the receiver, the demodulator configured at the receiver would convert the received RF signal into the RCPC code; then, the RCPC code would edit into several code sets according to another puncturing table with the same content as the puncturing table, so a Viterbi Decoder configured in the decoding unit would directly decode the RCPC code to recover the data stream.
