Abstract
An embedded dual usage controller is proposed in this invention. Particularly, it is related to a detachable wireless and keypad dual usage controller. The feature of the invention is that the remote controller can be either separated from the host or embedded into a socket on the host. When the remote controller is separated form the host, it performs remote control functions via wireless RF signals or infrared signals. By contrast, when the controller is embedded into the socket on the host, it becomes an integrated control keypad of the host via either wireless signals or a wiring interface. Furthermore, if the remote controller adopts rechargeable batteries and a charging circuit interface, the batteries can be recharged via the charging circuit interface and a charging circuitry of the host. Therefore, not only can the remote controller serve as a remote control device and a control keypad, the remote controller won't be missing when it is not used. What even better is that the remote controller can be recharged when it is not used and placed in the socket of the host.
