Abstract

The method and apparatus for treatment comprising of shearing insoluble substances contained in wastewater into the particle size suited for biological treatment, causing the insoluble substances to be dispersed into the wastewater without addition of any agents such as emulsifying agent are presented. The stirring vane (5) is rotated in the wastewater (4) containing insoluble substances for generating convection involving descending flow in the wastewater, causing the insoluble substances floating on the wastewater to be drawn and dispersed into the wastewater(4).
