A modified hydrophilic PU shape memory foam and its manufacturing method is disclosed. The composition of the PU foam of this invention is mainly composed of a hydrophilic PU prepolymer, an acrylic emulsion polymer and a 2nd-polyether-polyol. The PU prepolymer is form of a 1st-polyether-polyol and an isocyanate. The 1st-polyether-polyol has a molecular weigh between 600 and 2000 with more than 40 mole% ethoxyl group (-EO-) in its structure and 20-99.9% -EO- content in its composition. Foaming is conducted by the CO2 produced by the reaction of isonate with water. High temperature is then applied to remove the excess water of the foamed product. The PU foam thus produced has good damping and high pressure releasing properties. It also has high moisture absorption with good high and low temperature resistance.
