Abstract
Oil composition comprising a base oil component having viscosity index of greater than 120, a sulphur content of below 0.03 wt%, and a saturates content of greater than 98 wt% and an additive, wherein the base oil component has a paraffin content of greater than 80 wt% and comprises a series of iso-paraffins having n, n+l, n+2, n+3 and n+4 carbon atoms and wherein n is between 20 and 40 and wherein the oil composition comprises more than 0.2 wt% of a sterically hindered phenolic type anti-oxidant.
