Abstract

This invention relates to a fabrication method for forging blank for the turbine blade with extra long root. The extra long-rooted turbine blade has a long root and a twist-shaped blade attached to the root and extended upwardly. The fabrication method includes the following steps: Firstly, preparing a metal blank material, and heating the blank to soften. Next, the softened blank is place into a forge die and goes through a first-stage hot press to form a first semi-finished straight blade with a thick and bulky root part. After that, the first semi-finished blade blank is placed into another forge die and goes through a second-stage hot press to form a second semi-finished blade blank. The semi-finished straight blade blank is then hot forged to twist blade and trimming the outlet of root part so as to form the final finished extra long-rooted turbine blade.
