A method and an apparatus for assisting a visually impaired to sense stereo-subjects, which comprises establishing three-dimensional digital data of the stereo-subjects previously, storing in a digital data storage unit, using a read unit to read the 3D digital data and the read unit is controlled by a control unit to read specific range of the above digital data, transferring the read 3D digital data to driving signal by a transferring unit, driving a stereo display unit by the driving signal, and presenting three-dimensional profile corresponding to the read 3D digital data by the stereo display unit. Further, the established stereo outline can be provided to the visually impaired person to touch and sense the shape and body for obtaining reality of another human sense organ.
