Abstract

The invention provides a column antenna device and its manufacturing method, with which a spiral-shaped metal layer is formed on a column main body. The column antenna device of the present invention can simplify the process, raise the yield and reduce the cost. The column antenna device of the present invention comprises a column main body, a metal layer, and a spiral-shaped structure. The metal layer is formed onto the surface of the column main body, while the spiral-shaped structure is formed onto the metal layer, wherein the spiral-shaped structure is formed by removing part of the metal layer on the metal layer to impart it with the pitch structure and expose part of the column main body in between pitches. The disclosed column antenna device can be used in single-frequency, dual-band or multi-frequency wireless communication device, and can be disposed outside of the wireless communication device to form an external antenna or disposed into the wireless communication device to form a built-in antenna.
