Abstract
This invention provides a method for producing an antireflective layered material, the method comprising: preparing a mixed inorganic particle dispersion liquid using: inorganic particle chains (A), each chain being composed of three or more linearly-linked inorganic particles, each inorganic particle having a diameter of from 10 to 60 nm; inorganic particles (B) having an average particle diameter of from 1 to 20 nm; and liquid dispersion medium; wherein the mixed inorganic particle dispersion liquid satisfies the following formulas (1) and (2): (1) 0.55 ≤ RVa ≤ 0.90 (2) 0.10 ≤ RVb ≤ 0.45 wherein RVa is the ratio of the volume of the inorganic particle chains (A) to the combined volume of the inorganic particle chains (A) and the inorganic particles (B) in the mixed inorganic particle dispersion liquid, and RVb is the ratio of the volume of the inorganic particles (B) to the combined volume of the inorganic particle chains (A) and the inorganic particles (B) in the mixed inorganic particle dispersion liquid; applying the mixed inorganic particle dispersion liquid to a substrate; and removing the liquid dispersion medium from the mixed inorganic particle dispersion liquid applied to form an inorganic particle layer on the substrate.
