Abstract

An electronic ballast used to drive a fluorescent lamp and limit the current flowing through the fluorescent lamp. The electronic ballast includes an alternating current (AC) power supply, a rectifier, a power factor corrector, an inverter and a resonant circuit. The power factor corrector is working in continuous-current-mode for reducing the electric strength born by each component in the circuit and further reducing the damage and cost of each component.
