Abstract

Provided in the present invention is an organic electroluminescence element with an emitting layer between anode and cathode, characterized in that a layer (L) being in contact with the cathode is provided between said cathode and emitting layer, the layer (L) comprises an organic compound (A) containing aromatic hydrocarbon ring or heterocyclic ring and carbonyl group, and at least one metal (B) selected from alkali earth group metal and III group metal.
