Abstract

A cartridge for holding a plurality of glass disks comprises two housing parts (1) that can be fit together to substantially form the cartridge and define a receiving space for the disks. A plurality of holding members (9, 10) is provided on the inner side of the housing parts, which are arranged in such position that when disks are engaged with the holding members each holding member contacts a disk at two or more locations, so as to hold the disks in a parallel position with respect to each other. According to one aspect, both housing parts (1) are identical so that only one type of housing part is required. According to another aspect, at least one housing parts is adapted to facilitate the use of the housing part on a machine clamp. In still another aspect a cushioning element is arranged inside the cartridge to prevent rattling of the disks contained in the cartridge.
