Abstract

Provided is a method of implementing e-mails applicable for telematics apparatus, using e-mails to transmit information to a fleet management center or clients' e-mail boxes by adopting SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) via telematics apparatus by means of wireless network, or using POP3 (Post Office Protocol Version 3) to receive e-mails. The fleet management center does not need to establish any server, but only need conventional terminal equipment to receive e-mails so as to provide value-added services needed by the vehicles. Furthermore, the clients only need to turn on the power switch of the vehicle to turn on the telematics apparatus and to be connected to the wireless network so as to allow continuous connection operation, where the broadcasting messages needed to be transmitted and received can also be transmitted back to the fleet management center or the clients using e-mails. Alternatively, the management center is able to transmit information as inquired to the clients using e-mails.
