Abstract

In a driving hub, the pawl-safety gear (3) is composed of a pawl-carrier (4), which is connected in unrotation state with a driver, and several locking-pawls (6), which are swingably positioned in pawl-blank area (13) and engaged into the locking-teeth (7) for momentum transmission. The locking-pawls (6) are strained in the direction of the locking-teeth (7) by a ring-shaped spring-element (5) in the form of a spiral-spring ring. The spiral-spring ring is a closed ring with good elasticity in all direction. It provides in small spring force a uniform distribution of the radially effective spring force, especially in several locking-pawls (6). The locking-pawl (6) disposes at side a device-contour (11) formed as an elevation or as a slot, on which the spiral-spring ring is located. The spiral-spring-ring extends between the device-contour (11) and the bearing-section (9) at side along the locking-pawl (6). This arrangement provides a large effective lever-arm for the spring-force introduction and a considerable local deflection of the spiral-spring ring, which acts positively on the adjustment of the locking-pawl stress. In addition, the function reliability of the pawl-safety gear (3) is enhanced by the outline of the spiral-spring ring around the position-fixed bearing-bolts (8). A contact of the ring-shaped spring-element (8) with the locking-teeth (7) is thus avoided.
