Abstract

A sheet separating mechanism of an auto document feeder includes an auto document feeding (ADF) roller, two separating rollers, and a pressing element. An assembly is formed by the pressing element assembled between in the two separating roller, and the separating rollers and the pressing element both contact with the ADF roller A sheet is being fed by the assembly and the ADF roller feed a sheet, where the separating rollers provide a friction force for separating sheets and the pressing element press on the surface of the sheet. Therefore, the sheet is being fed in smoothly with the problem of jamming eliminated.
