Abstract

This invention relates to a file management system applicable on an embedded system. The embedded system uses a non-volatile memory as a data storage media, and uses the memory's spatial parameters to determine whether the non-volatile memory has enough space to store the file. If the memory has enough space to store, then the file would be continuously written into the non-volatile memory; if the memory has not enough space to store, then the data would be first re-arranged and finally the file would be continuously written into the non-volatile memory. Owing to the file is a continuous structure, the space use rate of the non-volatile memory can be strengthened and the complexity of file can also be reduced to increase the performance efficiency of the embedded system.
