Abstract
A multistage filter (200) for reactor coolant including a first filter (202) with a plurality of adjacent plates (203) defining a plurality of first channels (216) therebetween. Each of said first channels (202) are at an angle (218) to a flow path (212) of the coolant into the first filter (202). A second filter (204) includes a plurality of adjacent second plates (205) defining a plurality of second channels (220) therebetween. Each of the second channels (220) are at an angle (222) to the flow (212) of the coolant from the first filter (202).
