Abstract

A protecting circuit for protecting an electrical element is connected to an input terminal of a power supply circuit. The power supply circuit receives a first control signal for generating a working voltage to the electrical element. The protecting circuit comprises a first transistor and a second transistor. The first transistor comprises a first base for receiving a power detection signal, a first emitter connected to the ground, anda first collector for receiving a second control signal. The second transistor comprises a second base collected to the first collector, a second emitter connected to the ground, and a second collector for receiving the first control signal. Wherein the power detection signal has a high electric potential when a computer is power on. It makes the first transistor conducting and the second transistor blocking. The input terminal of the power supply circuit outputs ahigh electric potential signal. When the computer is power off, the power detection signal changes to a low electric potential immediately. It makes the first transistor blocking and the second transistor conducting. The input terminal of the power supply circuit outputs a low electric potential signal.
