Abstract

The present invention discloses a computer power management integration keying device and method, which comprises utilizing a power key to combine a power button defined as an ACPI interface and a software operating system sleep mode on/off power button; determining a current power mode status of a computer system host and a power key pressing time via a coupled microprocessor; sending a hardware signal to the computer system host according to the determination result; and simulating a power button function of the ACPI interface to execute a power-on, power-off or wake-up control, or sending a software instruction signal to the software operation system of the computer system host to enter or leave the sleep mode control. Therefore, the present invention improves the independent arrangement control of two power management control buttons for the hardware and software operating system of the computer system, and solves the problems of power management structure and control complexity.
