Abstract

A bottle cap comprises an outer cylinder (1) to be detachably attached to the mouth portion of a bottle to surround the mouth portion, and an inner cylinder (2) integrally connected to the outer cylinder (1) so as to be suspended in a cavity within the mouth portion of the bottle. The inner cylinder (2) includes a barrier (3) at its one end which, seals the mouth portion of the bottle, which can be displaced toward the bottom of the bottle, and a thin sheet (4) at the other end for sealing the interior space of the inner cylinder (2) together with the barrier (3), thereby forming a closed chamber (M) for storing an ingredient to be added to the liquid content in the bottle. The barrier (3) has a perforator (5) which, when the barrier (3) is displaced toward the bottom of the bottle, is displaced to break and open the thin sheet (4), thereby allowing the ingredient in the chamber (M) to fall into the bottle.
