Abstract

The invention is to obtain a kind of thin liquid crystal display device and back light device. The solution of the present invention is a kind of back light device 14 having diffusion sheet 36 to diffuse light and light source part 40 disposed at the back of diffusion sheet to achieve surface light by diffusing the light emitted from the light source part using the diffusion sheet. Light source part has a plurality of light emitting portions 50 disposed along the surface parallel with the diffusion sheet. Each of plural light emitting portions 50 has the substrate 66 formed by light transparent material opposite to the emitting surface 68 of the diffusion sheet and light emitting devices 72 buried into the substrate to guide all or about all the light generated by emitting devices from emitting surface toward light reflective surface 77, reflective portions 70 perpendicular to or about perpendicular to the diffusion sheet.
