Abstract

The present invention relates to a water-based manufacture process of high-temperature carbon composite comprising: forming a presoak material by adding β -resin into water-based bonding agent and water; then combining the presoak material with carbon fiber to produce presoak cloth and followed by press work and carbonization so as to enhance the density of the presoak cloth up to 1.50 g/cm3; then conducting a furan methanol densification process followed by a resin curing step. Thus, the bending strength of the specimen being only one densification process is up to 49000 psi. The present invention is characterized by conducting the water-based manufacture process of high-temperature carbon composite with a simple procedure while meeting the industrial security standard; using water-based solvent instead of organic solvent without the needs for expensive facilities and graphite fiber, reducing the times of densification and fabricating large-size components so as to be applied in various nozzle ablative insulative materials. Due to the application of various nozzle ablative insulative materials, the carbon composite is treated under 580 to 1000 DEG C and densification so that the effects of heat insulation and ablative can be looked after during design.
